Hijama
Hijama, commonly known as cupping therapy, is a traditional wellness practice that has been used in different cultures for generations. At Rapid Recovery Physio, Hijama may be offered as a complementary therapy alongside an appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation program, depending on the individual's needs and suitability.
Hijama involves placing specialized cups on selected areas of the body to create controlled suction. In wet cupping, a practitioner makes very small superficial skin openings before applying suction again, while dry cupping uses suction without skin incisions.
What Is Hijama
Hijama is a traditional form of cupping therapy involving the application of cups to specific areas of the body. The cups create suction that lifts the skin and superficial tissues.
At Rapid Recovery Physio, we believe that every person requires an individualized approach. Before providing any complementary therapy, we consider the individual's concerns, physical condition, treatment goals, and relevant health information.
