Sciatica
Sciatica refers to pain or other symptoms that travel along the path of the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back through the buttock and down the leg. It commonly occurs when a nerve root in the lower spine becomes irritated or compressed. Sciatica can affect movement, comfort, sleep, work, exercise, and everyday activities.
At Rapid Recovery Physio, we provide personalized physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs designed to understand the cause and pattern of your symptoms, improve movement, build physical capacity, and help you gradually return to your normal activities.
What Is Sciatica
The sciatic nerve is formed by several nerve roots originating from the lower part of the spine. It travels through the buttock and down the leg.
When one of the nerve roots becomes irritated or compressed, symptoms may develop along the pathway of the nerve. Sciatica commonly affects one side of the body, although symptoms can vary between individuals.
