Osteo Arthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common long-term joint condition that can affect the cartilage, bones, and surrounding tissues of a joint. It most commonly affects the knees, hips, hands, and spine, although other joints can also be involved.

Osteoarthritis may cause pain, stiffness, swelling, reduced movement, and difficulty performing everyday activities. Symptoms can vary from person to person and may change over time.

At Rapid Recovery Physio, we provide personalized physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs designed to help people with osteoarthritis improve their movement, build strength, maintain physical activity, and manage limitations in everyday life.

What Is Osteoarthritis

Joints are designed to allow smooth movement between bones. Cartilage covers the ends of bones within many joints and helps provide a smooth, low-friction surface.

Osteoarthritis does not affect everyone in the same way. Some people may have significant changes visible on imaging but relatively few symptoms, while others may experience considerable pain and functional limitations.
